Welcome to the Hamilton School of Music
The Hamilton School of Music is committed to teaching every student in a creative, yet structured manner with a focus on their various interests and desires. Our professionally trained teachers create a supportive and encouraging environment which respects the individual differences and learning styles of each student while fostering their self-esteem and motivation to succeed.
It is a progressive music school located in Hamilton, Ontario. It has been in operation since 1985 and is under the direction of Brenda Kushnir. Instruction is delivered by highly qualified and experienced teachers in piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums, violin, accordion, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, flute, clarinet, chromatic bells and "Tunes for Tots" (Introduction to music for 3-6 year olds).

Summer Music School 2014

What We Offer:
Musical instruction geared towards children’s and teen’s level of experience and comprehension. Emphasis is on highlighting the enjoyment of listening and participating through learning and performing songs of their choice.

Emily Kemp - Mohawk College Music Program Graduate
Vocal and Keyboards Teacher Emily has been a vocal teacher and performer around the GTA, with many different bands since 2008. Learning about the voice through lessons and classes for the last 10 years, she is a graduate of the Mohawk College Music Program for Vocal performance with an Honours Diploma.
Jordan Snider - Mohawk College Music Program Graduate
Drums and Percussion Teacher Jordan has been teaching drums since 2006. He plays in many bands that perform all over the GTA.
Brad Townsend - McMaster & York University Graduate
Ontario College of Teachers Member Guitar and Bass Teacher Brad has performed in a variety of professional venues, and has opened for bands like the Talking Heads and B-52’s. He has been teaching since 1997 and has extensive familiarity with various styles and musical artists. Brad is a versatile player with a command of flat-picking, fingerstyle, and classical techniques. He loves teaching and is a dedicated and friendly educator.
