Zachary Li

    Zachary Li  is a piano teacher and collaborative pianist.

    Zachary began his musical journey at the age of 6, and holds an RCM Level 10 comprehensive certificate and ARCT practical in piano. He has performed on both local and international stages, decorating himself with both experience and awards. He has attended festivals in Hamilton, Toronto, Niagara, and London as both a pianist and vocalist. Along with his piano journey, Zachary also holds a RCM Level 7 in violin performance and plays the trumpet as an orchestral instrument. 

    As a grade 12 student, Zachary consistently performs in his school’s award-winning orchestra and jazz ensembles. He has also performed as a trumpet/violinist in his school’s theatre production of Chicago. This year, he will continue to perform, this time as a pianist, for the production of HadesTown

    Zachary is also a collaborative pianist who has worked with a variety of soloists and choirs since the age of 10. In 2018, he became the piano accompanist for choirs in Hamilton and Burlington, performing at local churches, events, and spring gala celebrations. In 2023, he entered the Neovoce Philharmonic Choir, where they competed in the 2024 China International Chorus Festival, winning silver in their category. Since 2024, he returned as the accompanist for the Redleaf Choir in Burlington, Ontario.

    As a piano teacher, Zachary’s goal is to help students develop a strong foundation and work collaboratively according to their goals. He teaches a variety of genres, including baroque, classical, romantic, pop, and jazz. By working with his students, he hopes to help students improve their musical abilities, no matter if its preparing for an exam, audition, recital, or for personal enjoyment. He is ready to help students of all ages and levels to achieve their goals!
